Annealing Process is the improvement of the physical properties of the material by increasing the strength and hardness of the material as a result of bringing the material to a certain temperature, maintaining that temperature for a certain time and cooling it in a controlled manner. After annealing, the tempering process is applied to eliminate the irregularities in the material structure and to relieve the stress. During the annealing process, oxidation may occur on the material surface. If this oxidation is not within the permissible limits, the annealing process is carried out in an oxygen-free environment, in other words, in a “Controlled Atmosphere” environment, using nitrogen gas or endothermic gas.
