BASICS
High Speed Burners are a robust and extremely stable burner with a high excess air capacity, capable of providing combustion gas velocities in excess of 150 m/s. Because of this feature, it provides controlled heat transfer as well as rapid and homogeneous heat circulation in a furnace.
High speed burners are ideal burners for heat treatment applications where controlled heating of the heat load is required to comply with strict quality assurance standards.
TECHNICIAL SPECIFICATIONS
Capacity: 12 kw-600 kw power range
The standard High Speed Burner’s maximum throttling ratio of 10/1 can be further improved by using a high throttling inlet that will allow the burner to achieve 50/1 in fuel control alone with up to 5000% excess air.
The standard High Speed Burner is equipped with a barrel refractory stone for furnace temperatures up to 1600°C.
Double-walled air-cooled metal outlets for temperatures up to 1050°C are also available to direct heat to specific areas, i.e. to the walls via a sideways T-cone in a tundish or tangentially, and to the load of a heat treatment furnace through a cranked cone.
Fuels
It is suitable for ignition with natural gas, LPG and coke gas. It can also be used with gas oil with a viscosity of 34 sec.
Ignition, Flame Control and Auto Start
The High Speed Burner is ignited with direct ignition when working with gas, LPG and Coke gas and with premix pilot ignition when working with oil.
A sight glass is attached to the burner and a port is provided for attaching a UV scanner. It can also provide flame management equipment as needed to automatically start the burner and permanently monitor the flame.
Working with the Hot Air Version.
A Hot Air High Speed Burner is also available that accepts preheated air up to 550°C to improve fuel efficiency. For a given thermal temperature, the hot air version is slightly larger than the cold air burner to cope with the effect of preheated air.
Hot Air High Velocity Burners are ideal for applications equipped with a central recuperator, such as forging and reheating furnaces. They can also be used with central recuperators where typical 30% fuel savings can be achieved at a furnace temperature of 1250°C. For higher temperatures, please contact us.
AREAS OF USAGE
It is used in many ovens such as tunnel type ceramic firing furnaces, heat treatment furnaces, crucible heaters, annealing furnaces, casting annealing furnaces, furnaces requiring high temperature, brick firing furnaces, tile firing furnaces, glass melting furnaces, frit furnaces, etc.
