Torpedoes, as well as crucibles, are equipment used in the Iron and Steel industry to transfer liquid metal at approximately 1600 degrees from one process to another.
These equipments are laid with refractory bricks before starting use.
Drying and dehumidifying the bricked torpedo according to a certain heat/time curve given by the brick manufacturer extends the useful life of the refractory material used.
During use, the crucible should be kept at a certain temperature to prevent freezing and sticking of liquid metal to the brick. Coke gas or fuels such as natural gas, cng, lpg can be used as fuel.
We install Torpedo Heating Drying Stations, which are needed by Iron and Steel companies, including mechanical, electrical and automation, on a turnkey basis.
