Aluminum Billet Annealing Furnaces are furnaces that heat aluminum billets up to 400-450°C before extrusion. By controlling the heating process in a double chamber, both an efficient combustion is achieved and the efficiency is increased by drawing the burnt gases to the preheating section of the furnace at a certain rate. Billet annealing furnaces are directly heated by natural gas and are heated with jet type nozzles controlled by PLC. With the applied recuperative system, energy consumption per unit billet is reduced below market standards. Temperature measurement is pneumatically driven and is provided by direct contact on the billet. After processing, a temperature distribution better than ±10°C is reached on the material surface.
